Stellar Canine | 10 Day Seattle Area Puppy Training Camp
Build the right foundation for your dog with a convenient puppy training program that you and your pup will love. We train out of Renton/Bellevue to Auburn.
10 Days to a Puppy that is remarkably more behaved
Bringing home a new puppy is an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming. That’s why Stellar Canine Academy has created a comprehensive puppy boot camp for puppies from 10 weeks to 4 months of age that focuses on introducing basic obedience commands in a positive and fun way. We’ll give your pup a comfortable home away from home where we will drill in essential commands, introduce them to socialization with people and other dogs, and address manners like jumping up and play nipping.
If you’ve struggled to get your puppy under control, then you’re going to love how our puppy obedience program will prepare your pup to be a much more manageable and enjoyable member of your family!
Is Your Pup Impossible to Control and You Worry They Might Ruin Your Life?
Is your puppy sucking up all your time? Peeing all over your carpet and hardwood floors? Are they tearing up your furniture?…whatever the case, we understand how impossibly challenging life with a new puppy can be.
And the reality is that most of us cannot place our other relationships, job, and social life on hold, just to train our puppy, no matter how precious they are to us.
Then Imagine This…
What if you were able to reorient your puppy’s boundless energy towards a positive direction?
- Imagine being able to have friends over again because your puppy can go to his or her place if asked, rather than jumping up on every new person that enters your home.
- Imagine walking in a straight line with them on a leash at Greenlake, rather than a zig-zag towards every other animal (and animal dropping!).
- Imagine coming home from work and not having to deal with another mess, another trail of destruction, and another trip to IKEA to replace furniture…again
We Give You the Tools and Foundation to Make This a Reality
You’ll love the state of peace and calm you’ll be able to attain with your new pup. Not only will they be more relaxed and comfortable at home, you will be to relax as well. With the right foundation from our puppy training program, you’ll finally be able to focus on raising them from puppy to adult and gradually instill more positive behavior traits. This is so much better than simply managing chaos all the time.
We’ve been able to help countless families get their puppy off on the right track so they can get back to enjoying their dog and continue to build positive behaviors on a solid foundation. Our puppy trainers would be happy to help you achieve a positive transformation for your puppy too!!
What Commands and Behaviors Will Your Puppy Know After Camp?
Our ten-day puppy camp covers everything you need to get your puppy started on the path to obedience. We’ll teach your pup essential commands such as:

"Sit" with building duration

"Down" with building duration

"Place" (go to a bed and lie down)

Name recognition and recall

Crate training

Leash walking

Better manners, such as avoiding jumping and play nipping

Our Three Steps to Puppy Obedience Training
Our puppy trainers use an obedience training process that has been proven to work with each and every puppy. We then tailor our training to the needs of every puppy and family.
By introducing new puzzles for your dog’s brain while keeping the training fun, our puppy trainers are able to teach basic commands that your dog will know and understand by the time they leave camp.
1. Food Training: Our puppy trainers begin with food luring to get your puppy wired for obedience. We want your dog to associate obedience training with having fun, and food training is a great way to kick things off.
2. Leash Guidance: Once your puppy is trained with rewards, we move on to leash training to reinforce good behaviors.
3. Verbal Training: We teach your pup to get their reward for good behavior just using verbal clues, without the trainer having to dance or use a leash.
Our Goal for Your Puppy
Our goal is to build the duration that a puppy may be able to stick with a certain command as we progress through their training. For example, younger puppies may only be able to hold a “stay” position for a few seconds, while others can maintain the position for minutes at a time.
We know your puppy will not have perfect obedience after they leave our 10-day camp – what we want to accomplish is a good foundation for future obedience work.

Kristen Lee
Nice to meet you!! I have been training dogs since 2005, when I attended National K9 School for Dog Trainers. I have always been fascinated by how dogs learn and love that I can help owners and dogs to better understand each other through my work. It’s very rewarding to see people enjoy their canine companions, and to see dogs that get to do more in life with proper training.

I train my own dog for various sports that require teaching complex behaviors and demand off-leash control and focus for prolonged periods of time. I have titled several breeds in dog obedience and enjoy working with different personality types of dogs, from shy and timid to pushy and confident.

I grew up in the dog world, with a deep appreciation and respect for dogs passed on to me from my parents and grandparents.
I began competing in French Ring Sport at the age of 16 and became a certified decoy at 18.

French Ring has given me the opportunity to learn and deepen my training skills from the best trainers in the world, something I enjoy sharing with all of the dogs and humans that I coach.
I have taught seminars for the continuing education of dog trainers internationally, hold a Bachelor’s in economics, and continue to pursue additional certifications and education in the animal behaviorial science and training field.
I enjoy training my malinois, Saico, in multiple sports venues but my favorite pastime is enjoying his company hiking and travelling together. The bond that we share with our dogs is by far my favorite part of working in this field, and I love sharing this amazing aspect of dogs with all of my students, whether they have two legs or four!

Nice to meet you! I have been involved in the dog community since I was 13 years old. My journey as a dog trainer began when I started volunteering at an animal shelter in Woodinville. I quickly discovered my passion in dog training and joined PetSmart in 2006 to pursue that dream. From there I became the regional Area Trainer, and took on many responsibilities as the lead trainer.

I was selected as 1 of 20 Area Trainers to help redesign the puppy and beginner curriculum for all of PetSmart as a company. Knowing that not all dogs learn the same way, I branched off to a more balanced approach to dog training in 2020.
I’ve competed, taught, and titled in many dog sports! Including dock diving, barn hunt, nosework, and AKC obedience.
I have dabbled in IGP, treibball, NADAC agility, and NASDA (antler shed search and trailing). My sport work all started with my sweet Labrador Retriever, Diezel RIP. Now Sawyer, my Belgian Malinois, and Ember my Labrador Retriever have stepped up to fulfill that role. They have many titles, including, attending Regionals in Canada, and earning invites to Nationals for dock diving. I’ve owned a variety of dogs that have competed, including German Shepherds, a Great Dane, and Labrador Retrievers. I specialize in fear rehabilitation, reactivity, trick dog titles, and Canine Good Citizen certifications.
My life is dogs and I love to share my experiences and expertise. I have attended many training seminars and I continue to learn and expand my knowledge. My other passions include photography, bikejoring, and exploring the PNW. Sawyer has been the inspiration for all of them!

I love working with all personality types of dogs, but my favorite kind of dogs to work with are the ones that need that little extra confidence boost, seeing them blossom and learn that life can be fun is so rewarding for me.
The fact that training is so detail oriented is one of the most fascinating aspects of the profession, everything from your body language to how you hold your leash and food rewards make a huge difference in how a dog will respond to you. I love passing this knowledge on to everyone that I work with and seeing their relationship with their dogs benefit.
I have been professionally training dogs since 2021 and I enjoy continuing my education through training seminars as often as possible.
